confused on many points

I viewed the CEU course before purchase, and am glad I did. It does not make sense to say ArticLab "reduces caseload" when the SLP must find two free hours per week (plus meeting, screening and paperwork time) to see up to 20 kids who otherwise would not be on the caseload. If I had that kind of time, I would already be seeing non-IEP kids. But, let that pass. As others noted, most of us probably already have access to games, screening instruments, word lists, folders, and the other simple tools in the kit. Why buy them again? My biggest difficulty with ArticLab was with this dubious assertion: "Students learn quickly to self monitor and self correct." Even kids with mild errors need some direct instruction to establish correct productions, and skilled feedback for each production to learn to self monitor. In this program, the SLP gives feedback just a few minutes per student per week, and no reference is made to individual therapy time between screening and starting ArticLab activities. It assumes self-teaching? When my students have only a sound or two in error, and are able to self monitor and self correct with minimal supervision, I typically exit them from therapy. These are exactly the students I am supposed to pull out 30 minutes a day, four days a week, to enroll in ArticLab? Scratching my head over this entire program!

Students love it
Megan W,Chillicothe, IL

I began this school year with 5 first grade students who I am using Artic Lab with. We have been having fun. Last night, our school had an Open House, and I really realized how much fun we have been having with it...4 out of the 5 students stopped with their parents to show them all the fun stations. Parents all said the students have been talking about it at home. The fifth family was simply unable to come to the Open House. In 7 sessions, all kids are making progress, and the families all support the program as well!

Looks good, but lots of tid-bits
Megan W.,Chillicothe, IL

Our district is looking to start using this program to help alleviate some of our artic IEPs. We will formally start in the fall. I was lucky enough to buy the program on the 50% off sale, otherwise, it seems the expense is driven up by little tidbits (whisper phone, echo microphone, tally counters) that could be purchased separately for a fraction of the price.

Artic Lab- you already own this program!
Anne D.,Woodstock, IL

Artic Lab fell short of my expectations. When I received the box, it was full of gadgets like echo mics, tally clickers and whisper phones, (which can be purchased anywhere), several screening books and a workbook with activity sheets. I feel like I already had a version of artic lab in my speech room! I wish I had spent the money on articulation activities that were more differentiated that what I already own.

Artic Lab

I've used Artic Lab almost every day since the beginning of the year. The program has enabled me to address RtI in a very organized manner, and the results are concrete. Not to mention it is so easy to use- everything you need in one complete package. I highly recommend this product!

A great program
Cindy S.,San Marcos, TX

This is a great program! My students enjoy the stations immensely because the activities are fun and the kids are relatively independent during the tasks. The lab was easy to setup and the students learned the lab's routine very quickly!

It's a hit!
Linda L.,Okinawa, Japan

My students love being more active during therapy and I love getting more responses out of them during each session. We've had a little trouble with the younger students being able to manage the tally counters and do the activities at the same time, and sometimes in their earnestness to get a high number on their tally counters, they rush themselves and practice errors.

Artic Lab

I am very pleased with Artic Lab. I am using it to provide early intervening services to K-3 students. It is systematic and the materials are easy to use. The kids really enjoy using the tally clickers and the stations keep things interesting for them. In addition, I've seen great improvements in their speech!

Amazing RtI Product!
Sarah Beth W.,Danville, IL

I purchased the ARtIc Lab in Oct. 2009 and have been having amazing success with the kids on my caseload! They love the different stations, using clickers, and are excited to come to speech. The entire program came ready to go - all I had to do was screen kids and gain consent. A must have for any School-Based SLP!!!

I absolutely love your products. I have been ordering from SuperDuper for 12 years now. You get every dollar of my PO money, lol. I am going to talk to my supervisor about reviewing the ArticLab kit. It looks like it would be perfect for the kids in my school.

I couldn't ask for better service. Both the catalog and the online product arrangement are easy to navigate. The variety of products is endless, and all that I have used have been great! The products that you have made available to help specifically with RtI are very easy to use and get the job done with very little planning involved. Thanks Super Duper!

I especially enjoy your articulation cards. I use them for so many differnt goals besides for articulation of course! They are great as memory games, vocabulary building, picture description, and social interaction. I have them for a few sounds and I use all of them over and over again-my kids love them!

The picture cards are wonderful because they can be used for so much more than articulation.
